I made this curbside 64 galaxie into a highway patrol car…kinda like the Mayberry RFD car…
Turned the two door car into 4 four door added the dog dish wheels

Very cool! Turning a two-door Galaxie into a convincing four-door highway patrol car is quite a conversion, and it really looks the part. The dog-dish wheels and other details sell it nicely.
I also really like the way you’ve photographed it. The background and setting make it look remarkably convincing—some of those shots could almost pass for the real car. Great work!

Sweet stuff, nice conversion. I’d add a dark wash into the recesses all over the vehicle (look at the ‘prototype photo’, you can see a dark line between the doors for instance); Use a wash that will not damage the underlaying colours. I tend to use artists’ watercolours (in tubes) diluted with water, a bit of vinegar and a drop of washing up liquid. It’s easy to remove any excess with a dampened Q-tip.
