50+ Years and Finally Finished!

Tcoat, I remember building that Swedish “S” tank by Aurora when I was a kid and in fact I’m building that British Centurion tank right now for an Aurora Model Group Build on you tube. For their time these Aurora armor kits weren’t that bad.

Great reasons to “re-model” your models ( yeah. I couldn’t help my self ) The results look like all the work was well worth it.

Wow - 50 years is a long time to keep models! Nothing in my collection survived from 1975. Pretty much everything up until 1983 or so were blown up annually on New Year’s Eve. Or they ended their days on the BB gun firing range.

OK so I have a few models from 1983 - oh my gosh, that’s 42 years. And yeah, I keep them for sentimental reasons too. I have an unbuilt kit of my oldest completion, which I intend to one day build it to current standards. That should be fun!

BTW GAF, that moon base for the lunar module looks like a crime scene!

That 50 years was from 2012. I guess it’s been like 60+ years (from about 1964-68). I remember the Star Trek USS Enterprise model I had, so about that time. In fact, I have the original box cover art framed and hanging in my work room.

I have the rest of the lunar module, astronauts and equipment from the base, so someday I have to reconstruct the crime scene!
