WOW, that’s a hard choice! To be honest, they all loook pretty well done!
The Autoblinda railroad-thing is my favorite, just for the fact that it’s such aunique subject! I don’t like the white-painted light though–I would have gone with silver for the light.
The rest look nice too! That bison is a tough kit; got any pictures of the interior?
Standard fare of “close, but not quite right” models. Nice glossy wheels on the LAV. It must have just rolled through one of those damn glosscoat puddles.
That’s why I only said I’d never seen it…[;)] It’s kinda like the in-ranks authenticity inspections we have before WW2 events. If you’re wearing something or carrying some piece of equipment and Herr Inspektor questions you on it, you have to produce the photographic evidence from a credible source or you gotta loose it…
WOW, really? That’s cool to know that they go to that level to insure accuracy in their re-enactments! I always wondered if you could actually use the photos from re-enactments as a reference-as-such; it would sem my question has been answered!? [:D]
I have refs that show it as well…it wasn’t that common, but then again it wasn’t extremely rare either…seems that most of the skirts were covered when the zimm was field-applied. In fact, some schurzen on Mk IV’s and StuGs have zimm as well…
Thanks , Doog… Stole it…
Curious… It looks like the zim has made the skirt about 8 inches thick, judging from the top of the skirt. . I’m thinkin’ I must be seein’ things…
I’ll go with Bison; shiny, Armoralled tires (LAV) just don’t do it for me. And, the star on the M-20 is upside down. AI is churning them out again, I was wondering what this team was up to lately.
Ya, it should be pointed up. However, once in a while, they come from the depot wrong, or one of the slugs doing a re-paint at the brigade OMS doesn’t know better. I’ve witnessed it personally on some US Army vehicles with “upside down” stars on bumpers and such. One of the M151s I was assigned back in the 80s was like that…
