Saving Private Ryan is an excellent movie. I didn’t realize how realistic it was until I talked to my cousin Buddy Boynton who was in the Navy and aboard one of the early boats to hit the beaches. He was with a group of other veterans who went to see the movie. He said it was so realistic he and others cried and had to leave their seats for a few moments, as it brought back too many painful memories.
