First and foremost, welcome to the club! Oooww that 47 is sharp!
What color did you use who’s the manufacturer, Galxie?

Welcome! I have the same reaction - great color. Nice job.
Thanks for the compliment. It got boxed up like seven years ago due to missing parts, so I of course forgot what paint it is. So now that Moebius has the molds from Galaxie Limited,I was able to source the replacements for them. My cohort and I had a sponsorship through Gravity Colors at the time, so I am thinking it was one of the colors they sent us to try out. I just started going through the wet sanding and polishing the clear stage, so it’s about due to be finished.
Thank you. And, yessir, she’s an original Galxie Limited kit. I bought four more after Moebius purchased the molds. So now I have two of each for the Coupe and Delivery and three of the Sedans. I believe the color is from Gravity Colors from quite some time ago. I couldn’t tell you what shade it is,I only know that it’s gorgeous.
Welcome to the forums Dtimmerman89! Really love this '47. The custom color really sets it apart. All the trim work is flawless. Excellent build!
Very much appreciated for the kind words. I am really enjoying this project after its seven years of storage.
You are most welcome D! Haha ok.sweet! I too have the panel van as well as this one I believe.. Side of the box shows a yellow racing version?
I’d check but if I do, I’d be up till like 3a building lol
Such a sweet color and it fits the lines well!
Happy Modeling,
Mike
I love it, nice job, great colors beautiful car.
Fantastic looking Chevy, Dan. ![]()
They are awesome kits. There are some discrepancies with accuracy of the front end, especially the 46 grille, but they’re the only 46-48 Chevy’s available. I am quite gratefull that Moebius grabbed the molds and is reproducing them. I paid a lot for my panel delivery and I didn’t want to do that again.
Thanks for the kind words, gents.
Welcome to the FSM forum and that Chevy is looking awesome. Love that color that’s on the body.
Thanks!, good sir. This one is about done and I have way more coming through wire.
Wow, love the color . Excellent workmanship. The motor is fantastic
.
Thank you, sir. I sure hope my experience shows in my builds.
I am at my wits with this build. I am likely going to have to paint the fenders in a two tone. I had a really bad spot of orange peel on the front clip. I went through multiple stages of wet sanding from 2000 to 10,000 just to burn through a spot right beside the orange peel. I assume something happened during the leveling when it was put away all those years ago. I think i am going to have to spray some black or cream or something.
