Hello everyone, I know they frown on double postings but I’m getting desperate. I am scratchbuilding a 1/24 scale 40mm Bofors MK1 (naval) mount and I cant find any reference pictures. I have the floating drydock drawings but they dont show hidden lines and I need pictures to cross reference. I have spent hours on the internet looking for pictures but all I can find are general pictures. Any ideas on where to look?

There seems to be some nice pictures and drawings here:

David thanks for the help, you have been the only reply I have received. Some of the pics I had already downloaded but the site with the drawings was the best. Thanks again.

hmm i think the local veteran’s assoc. has soming like that on their lawn. Haven’t been past there in a while can’t remember exactly will have to look again and take camera.
10 or 15 years ago, I believe, FSM had an article on scratchbuilding a naval 40 mm Bofors (I think it was a quad mount in 1/35 scale). There was a good set of drawings, pictures of the model under construction and several pictures of the real thing.
No guarantee, but will dig through my reference material and see what I can find
You are correct – August 1998.

I guess I’ve proved the old saying is true - As you get older the second thing to go is your memory and I can’t remember what the first one is.
