Robert Morris, USAF Lt Col, retired. He flew 116 Hump missions in the C-46 during WW-II. He flew a bunch of C-119 missions during Korea and he flew C-130s in Viet Nam.
He taught me how to use computers and I taught him how to fly RC airplanes. He is currently learning to fly RC helicopters and doing very well at it. He is also getting checked out in full scale gliders

Williams Bros, C-46 Commando that I built and presented to Lt Col Morris for his 85th Birthday
Happy Birthday Robert Morris[bday], Sir!! Love that 'ole C-119…noisy, yes…but still a neat old bird. Hope you have many more birthdays to come with your friends. And much success on your RC helicopter training…you will do good. I’ve flown RC planes since 1973 and enjoy getting out to the field. It’s as close to flying the real thing as I’ll ever get. Best regards, Joe
Wow, please wish him Happy Birthday from me. I’m from Chinese descent, living in the US. So I know part of my family’s well being is partly due to his efforts when he flew supplies over the Hump. So a big thank you from me also.
We salute you and we thank you, Lt. Col. Morris, and all the others who gave their all in service to the country! Happy Birthday, and may God bless you!
Col. Morris, you’re a hero proved in liberating strife and it is my privilege to wish you a Happy Birthday. Please accept my thanks as an American and an Air Force veteran for defending our nation.
He was in Viet Nam in '65-'66 and flew out of several bases. I am not sure which ones. I didn’t meet him until 1979, so we both had been back for some years at that time.
