3 Revell ME109-G's completed pics

Hey all, thought I would share the three Me 109-G10’s that I finished for the Reich defender GB. All three were Revells offering in 1/48 and I used decals for the IP and PE belts. The finish is MM enamels and pastel chalk for weathering.

I really enjoyed these kits for their price you cant go wrong. Nice detail and fit but the interior is very simple. All comments and critique welcome

Steve- Excellent job on all three! Great to see those pics again. Thanks for being a part of the GB! [^]

Nice job on all three of them Steve [tup][tup].

An excellent example of three distinctly different paint schemes on the same aircraft type, each with a different purpose! Well done! [tup][tup][tup][oX)]

Very nice builds on all counts! I like the way the belts were randomly hung over the cockpit sills, and the unusual strut color on “white 9” really got my attention. The only thing I might have done a little different is used a slightly less contrasting wash on the winter scheme. That’s just a personal preference, not really a critique. All in all, 3 stunning builds I’d be proud to display. [tup]

Three great builds Steve. I especially like the solid RLM 76 scheme.

Very nice work.

Thanks for all the kind words and advise, I appreciate it a lot. How else can we grow and learn withouth it.

Steve

Those are three great looking builds Steve from a very old kit. WEll Done! [tup][tup][tup]

Steve, you are the man. Thats 3 spectacular builds my friend. I love the belts hanging from the sills Nice touch.

If i had to add one critisismette, well not really a critisism really, more of a point i noticed. The exhaust staining on the 1st white one, is too brown. Its noticeable because it contrasts the white of the paint. It would be a lot closer to black. Those DB’s were filthy beasts.

Id still be well proud if it was mine though.

Steve, great work on all three. I enjoyed following along with them in the GB.

very nice looking

but the wheels are a bit too straight upright

all the pics i have, the wheels are practically resting on the sidewalls of the tyre instead of the tread

Steve,

Very nice! Love the 109’s. Three of them?! That would have taken me 9 months at the rate I build.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words and advise guy’s.

Durr, I noticed the wheels also. I had pre assembled them and added brake lines and thought I had the angle of the tires close. The struts were a bit fiddly and when they were in place the cant on the wheels were a bit off. I didnt have the heart to break them off and re-set them. I may go back on them at a later date.

Guy, since these photos I have blackened the exhaust stanes more and added the antenna wires.

Thanks all.

Steve

Dang gorgeous Reich birds!

VISUAL FEASTS, ONE AND ALL.

critique:

As previously stated, main gear… a bit more splayed.

And if you do that, make the tires look like they’re supporting the weight of the plane. (makes the model look more realistic in my opinion)

Each of the models have a visible seam inside and on the lip of the annular turbocharger intakes.

Your models rock. My critiques are pretty dang minor compared to your excellent job(s) on them.

Thanks for the comments trexx
