2nd tank...2 days this time ;o)

This is the 1st piece of armor for this “wing nut”

And if you by chance have seen whatI have put up in the aircraft forum… this is my current favorite scale…

I added the cable on the side, made from 4 strands of very thin wire twisted together.

nice

what brand is it?

Thnaks Joe. It’s the Dragon 1/144 th kit. There are 2 in the box but I just have not painted the other one yet.

YIKES! DOn’t sneeze or your tank will become like a plane in that last photo! [(-D]

Tiny but cute, and well done–the cables are a nice touch!

The only thing I would add is the slightest trace of a thin wash of brown on the tracks, just to set them offf a little bit from the monochromatic grey of the overall look, but it’s fine without it in that scale if you don’t want to try it.

Hey, now it’s time to step up to at least 1/72!!! [:P]

Holy crap that is SMALL! [:O]

I’m guessing that the “template” method of painting roadwheels wouldn’t apply in this case. [;)]

Wingnut - do you have some sort of project going on with 1/144 scale stuff? Or is this just the current “craze”? [(-D]

Doog… the only other armor kit I own is a 1/16 T-34. talk about extremes[:D]

Dupes… nope, no project. Just the flavor of the month (that is turning into an obsession) Might to a small dio of this protecting my little 262"Z"

I have 1 helocopter kit in very near the top of the pile. Any guesses what scale[:-^]

Geez, that’s tiny wing_nut!! You could built an entire regiment!! Looks good though!

Maybe you should display them side by side.

Come to think of it, maybe it would be cool to get a few builders together and build the same vehicle in several scales for a display. That StuG is a good subject.

Hehe, in another couple of months of building you could finish a Kursk diorama. You’ll have to move up to 1/48 someday like your fellow A/Cer Rick.

Huh…interesting idea. Shouldn’t be much trouble finding say, a Tiger in 1/6, 1/16, 1/35, 1/48, 1/72, and 1/144. Hmmmmmmm…[:-,]

Thanks all…

I’va already done one projaect like that. Not sure if I want to do it again. Happy with the way it turned out but I was kind of tired of the subject by the time I was done.

And I keep a small nitro pill holder on my key chain filled with ground chipotle. never know when something needs a little ZIP.

Hoooo hoooo! I wasn’t even thinking about trying to do the same markings/scheme on each one…that must have been a bit of work to find “yellow six” in 5 different scales. [:O]

I can understand how you’d get tired of it after a while. Heh. [;)]

Wow Wing_nut, The picture of you holding your tank makes my eyes strain. I would need an optiviser about like the Hubble telescope to build that. Heck my hobby floor ( Old, old tounge & groove) claims enough model booty. The FW collection is Top Notch also. Very Impressed [tup]

ZIP…Did I hear someone call for ZIP![:)]

So now you’re invading the armor guys! Did you show them your penny?

BTW Great tank buddy

Zip

Wingnut, with your mad skills you could do some awesome stuff in 1/35th scale. I would love to see you try. Good job on this one. Now go invade some antbeds.

60

you need to do a T-34 in 144, 72, 48 and 35 too [:-^] all lined up

OI, wat are you doing over here? Geroutofit!!! Bleeding Interlopers. Dont be fooled everyone. He has a fake penny that he regularly uses to scale things too… Those look remarkably like fake fat fingers also. [:D]

…Guy

i honestly believe that you are destined to build a kursk,or b.o.b dio. in this scale my friend as i believe that could and would be one heck of an accomplishment.need we take a poll to see if the idea is feasible?perhaps the route to take would be to split the build chores up between volunteers to spread the work around.a 12x12 would contain alot of action.from what i’ve seen from the rest of the group around here the planning and logistics would not take to long to iron out.i guess that it would be alot like wargaming then.ok,now give the stug a drink of water so it will grow up big and strong[tup][tup]

so go ahead and open her up so we can check out the interior, i assume it does come with a full interior right? [:)] cool looking little guy i have built a couple of these in the past they really are tiny but i thought well detailed even with some PE lol

wing nut, thats incredible! I can barely see the details in the 1:72 M1 I am trying to finish… I need to get myself some fake nickles  Once again well done, cheers!
