262 done.

Here is my finished build for the SSGB.

My first 262 and a welcome addition to the display case. The kit went together well.

The kit is built OOB. Paint is a combo of MM enamels and Tamiya acryls. Weather is MIG oils.

The only addition I made to the kit were the red “D” rings in the engine intakes.

A pleasant build, this one is gonna look awesome in the case next to the rest of my German AC!

Thanks for the look. Any comments welcome.

Very nice replication of not only a cool, but a historically significant aircraft. Great job on the paint and decals!

Sweet Me-262! Painting came out great.

Very nice, I like it. Is this the tamiya kit? I have it in my stash to build someday. Also are the D rings scratch built or an AM part?

The kit is Revell and the “D” rings are made of .004 invisible thread painted red.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Nice looking 262 you have there. You do awsome work. Which Mig Oils do you use. Do they make a set. Also, do you use the Mig Pigments. How do these work. Thanks.

Very nice, indeed!

Excellent!!

Very nice job on the 262! The finish looks great.

Happy New Year,

Mark

great job!!!

Very nice, those D rings are a nice touch – I’ll be remembering that one.

Very nice build. Well done.

Regards, Rick

Great looking build.

Is that the Revell/Monogram kit, or the Revell re-box of the Dragon kit?

Karl

I used Wash brown and Black mixed together, both MIG oils. I use the pigments too, depending on what I’m looking for. I usually apply them with a brush after the flat coat is applied. It’s been said that one can add the pigments to any fluid and brush them on or spray them but I’ve not had much luck with that. As far as I know the oils are not sold in a set yet, I may be wrong. The pigments are sold in sets and individually though some of colors are only sold in a set.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

According to the stamp molded on the plastic it’s the original 70’s Monogram kit.

very nice! did you rescribe it? the D rings are a nice touch [:D]

Well Done to say the lest
