Hi everybody,
I guess the subject line says it all: which is better Dragon or AFV Club 251/22 ?
Thanks in advance.

I have the dragon kit and the box was full of goodies, however I have not done the AFV club. This link may help you though- it is a comparison of the two kits.

It seems that when doing comparisons of the two, AFV makes a tecnically better kit. However Dragon offers more goodies at less price. So what’s more important to you? A little inaccuracy or value? Me, Dragon all the way.
AFV is better, but you will certainly pay for it. Personally I would pick the Dragon model.
Cheers!

I tried the AFV 251D recently, the first one of theirs. While the detail is a little better than the Dragon offerings, I would stick with Dragon, more stuff for the buck.
In terms of track comparison, here’s the AFV compared the Dragon’s (B IV) indies.

The Dragons went together in about two hours and were a real pleasure.

The AFV, while better in detail, were miserable to assemble and easily fall apart afterwards.

The main problem is the connecting points…Dragon has one large pin to AFV’s two small ones.

Both were assembled in the same way, and personally, by the time the weathering process is over, AFVs advantage in detail on the tracks would be lost.
dragon, all the way
I have bought halftracks from DML and AFV Club and like them both. AFV Club has the advantage when it comes to accuracy while DML has the advantage when it comes to extra parts and goodies in the kits. It really comes down to what you can afford and what you want out of the kit.
Thanks to everybody!
I think I’ll go for the Dragon one.
