21st Century Toys 1:32 Bf 109F 9./JG54

I love these 10 dollar kits, I swear!

I doubt that 9./JG54 had any “Kannonenboote” 109s, but so what? Most Ostfront fighters had there gear doors removed to avoid the mud and ice fouling them, as well. So what? I like the way it looks, and it’s MY ten bucks, baby!

I drilled out all of the weapons barrels, and used telescoped brass tubing for the pitot. I added some leftover Me-262 PE in the cockpit, along with some Eduard PE seat harnesses I had laying around. I added Mike Grant cockpit details too. Drilled out the fuselage lift holes, added some ALPS decals. The antennae are made from E-Z Line with cyano drops for the insulators. Enjoy!

I have the same kit.
I hope to be able to put a motor in it.

Nice lookin model ya got there

That looks fantastic. Great looking office. Very nice paint too.

Thanks, Sergeant! I like the motor idea…maybe try some fiberoptics, too. Maybe I’ll try that on my Stuka.

Thanks, JWB!!

Cheers,

JK

Love the paint job and especially that little devil emblem. Great looking warbird.

And you’re right about the ten bucks. You can paint it green and purple with a radome and rear bumper if it tickles your fancy. Nice job on the 109.

Good looking 109 JK. Well Done.

Very nice. Makes me glad I’ve got one in my stash. It builds up rather nicely. If I can find the Stuka, I’ll have all five stashed.

Thanks Guys!!!

Great looking '109! I really like the paint scheme. Very well done.

Thanks Daywalker!

That’s one nice build, James! Hard to believe it’s a $10 kit. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the recent 21st Century models, considering their cost.

Nice work!

I am currently working on one of those too.
