I know that a lot of people are up to their bottom lips in Group Builds at the moment and more than likely for the rest of the year. But I wanted to float an idea for a Group Build for sometime in 2006 (it’s closer than you think).
The theme for the build will be The Battle For Germany 1944-45 and cover land, sea & air operations in the ETO from a point in time (to be decided) during 1944 and running up to VE day.
At this stage I am just looking to see if there is enough interest in the subject from modelers on this forum to go ahead with the GB. So what do you think any ideas, comments or suggestions?

Well, it’s German, so doubtless there will be enough interest. A GB covering land, sea, and air seems very broad, but it’ll help diversify. Since I currently plan to finish all my enlisted GB’s by the close of this year, something in 2006 would be nice.
Are you talking German only? Or is Allied included? May be too broad based, but I’ll keep my eye on this.

Sounds like an interesting Idea. It would be cool if we could finish on VE day 2006.
I don’t think I’m going to get a lot of ship action happening on this build so it will be primarily aircraft and armor, but it is definitely not German only. It’s early days yet but personally I am thinking having a break from Aircraft for this build and doing DMLs M4A3E8 as Thunderbolt VII.
