The end of the year is almost upon us and our favorite manufactures didn’t quite satisfy all our needs. I for one was very happy to see some 251 & variations along with some Pak 40’s and the latest offering of a King Tiger. [8D]However, still no new BT-7’s or Valentines. What do you hope to see next year?
New Centurion in 1/35 or any scale for that matter.
A good 1/72 Sherman in plastic. “Hello Revell are you listening??”
Char B1bis.
I’m looking for the same thing I’ve wanted for the past two years, some new, retooled, accurate allied WWII halftracks including varients in 1/35 scale.
Enjoy your modeling…
Hey rockfall, Italeri has a pretty nice 1/72 sherman.
Well, I for one, since I love these halftracks, would like to see a SdKfz 251/1 ausf A and an Ausf B. I would also like and Sdkfz 251/8 (ambulance)
and of course for dragon or Tamiya to make some WWI armor and figs.
Well, my list could go on and on…
That’s easy, HEMTT’s!
Of course I am still waiting for a 1/15th scale Bradley…
Don
You’re in luck John, both AFV and Dragon are due to release some A’s probably next year according to Perth Military Modellers.
a new Char B1/B1bis in 1/72… I’m not asking for much.
Anything thats not WWII German and maybe more modern stuff.
A great Leclerc MBT in 1/35 ( 1/16 too ), by tamiya of course…not heller !
and a jeep in 1/16 scale.
That’s all !
I would love to see either Tamiya or Trumpeter add a M3A1 half track with all the accoutrements to their line of 1/16 scale models. Also I would love to see Tamiya tackle a PT-76 in 1/35.
How about another 1/35th Tiger? (just kidding- don’t burn my house down)
I’m looking forward to Trumpeter’s new series of 1/16 Shermans!
(I suppose I should’ve said “hoping for!”)
[:D][:D][:D][:D]
Yea! One or two more T-34/76 kits in different scales would be great too.

Are you refering to their M4A1? If so, it is a mixed bag. The hull detail is decent, it has a very nice radial engine, and you have a choice of rubber band or indy tracks. Taken by itself, the turret is reasonably well molded, however the gun mount and the mantlet need to be reworked. The really major faux pas with it, though is that the turret is for the 75mm gun, whereas the hull is one of the late model hulls which were equipped with only with 76mm gun.
Although I’ve read some claims of a limited number of late model M4A1’s equipped with the 75 mm gun, I’ve never seen any irrefutable photos to back them up. The photos that I have seen of this supposed configuration, are either a mis-ID’d composite hull M4 viewed from the front where its welded rear hull is not apparent or a mis-ID’d early hull viewed from the side where its small hatches are not apparent.
I have one these half-built and kind of got depressed with it when I discovered that it doesn’t seem to have ever existed. I suppose someday I’ll finish it up with its incorrect turret.
How about these: (in 1/35)
M198
an interior for the AAV
maybe one of the new EFV/AAAV that we’re supposed to be seeing undergoing tests soon?
I’d like some of the other variants of the M3 halftracks (anti-tank, SP gun, etc) too.
I want to see a new Panzer II Flamm and a new 38(t)
Here’s hoping that Trumpeter will expand their line of 1/16 scale vehicles. Specifically, I’d like to see a Panther or a Sherman, but I’ll settle for just about anything circa WW II. Also like to see more 1/16 scale figures, especially Russian.
seventrs
Actually, I would love to also see another 38(t). I was forced to order the Maquette one last month, which I have yet to recieve (a different subject all together [:(])
ALL I want is a 1:16 Panther G w. all the bells&whistles,
& a 1st class, injection moulded M103 A2,w. USMC mods.
SOME AMERICAN HALFTRACKS PLEASE. All the manufacturers make now a days is german stuff. The germans had some neat stuff but imagine the great kits we could have it the companies used their technology for allied vehicles too. Just look and the 1/16th scale T-34’s
