Hello!
I am presently constructing the 1/72 S-100 Revell Schnellboote. Just for a change, I thought I would give it a 4 barrel Flakvierling in the stern, instead of the more common single barrel flak cannon. Does anyone know of a company that produces an after market etched or resin kit of a German naval 4 barrel flakvierling in 1/72 scale? Otherwise, I thought I would use a Hasegawa Flakvierling from an armoured vehicle, and kit bash it with new shields, etc… Comments / suggestions? Thanks for your input!
This would be an interesting modification, did they actually use them on S-boots?
Gordon,
I am building exact same version of S-boat with quad on the stearn. There is no aftermarket flak in 1/72 scale. The kit’s gun is not that bad - a little simplified but not bad at all.
The only thing I am planning to change on mine are the barrels from Aber. Just got mine from Airconnection.

The latest release of Revell’s S-100 (# RG5002 in the latest Squadron monthly flier) comes with optional quad flak mount . only $22.79 . Buy one and build both versions !
Thanks for the feedback! After getting the go ahead from the Grosseadmiral of our house, I did go ahead and purchase the newest version of the S-100. Now I will indeed enjoy the pleasure of constructing two versions of this impressive craft. You can’t beat the value for money of these Revell kits! Happy modelling!
