I had the pleasure of building Italerie’s M4 USMC sherman during Isabel. Construction started and finished on Wednesday as i got out of school early. Painting was done the next day as the island i live on was getting battered with rain and wind…and the finishing touches were made on Friday as i had notjin to do since my power was out the ENTIRE day. This is the 1st sherman ive built and it wont be the last. Brushpainted using Tamiya Acrylics. The sherman was a great build and there are probably some inaccuracies but i can care less as it looks like a sherman. im kinda new at modeling but constructive criticism is always helpful.
(i managed to clear some of the pics up)
thanks!!!
p.s. sry for the image quality, i ont have a digital camera so i used my camcorder and tried to clean the pics up as best i could…
Necessity is truly the mother of invention Laxman. More light and I think you will be able to overcome the “sans digital camera” problem. Video camera worked pretty well.
From what I can see it looks just like a Sherman. Nice build. Is that some weathering on there? Looks like you did a fair amount of work on this piece in just three days. So what’s next? Next hurricane isn’t for a while yet?..
Thanks for sharing.
Mike
thanks for the replies. I did weathering using tamiyas flat earth and some good ol’ maryland mud and elmers. I doubt you can see the mud as the pics are dark but i put them on the bottom of the hull and along sides the running gear and suspension. As for the next model…i have no clue, depends if hockey, work, and college aps dont take a toll on me as well as my money!! But i gotta say this is a record for me, the fastest model i built was the old tamiya sdkfz 251/1 and that took 2 days…
It’s a pity the pictures are a little dark , but from what I see, the Sherman looks pretty good. Perhaps you might send a few more with a little extra light. Glad you enjoyed it.
