1st place in Box Stock and BEST Aircraft at Houston

I just got back from Houston. They put on a great show. Kudos to all those who worked on the event.

My FW-190A-6 (The one that was one the cover of SAM Feb 2008) too 1st place in Box Stock. My Fairey Gannet took 3rd place in 1/72 single engine prop. Then to my surprise the FW-190A-6 was awarded BEST Aircraft for the contest. What a surprise for me. Another member of our North Central Texas IPMS club also too a Best of Award for his armor subject.

Keep an eye out for Scalefest coming up in May in Grapevine, TX.

What a thrill. You must be grinning from ear to ear. Congrats.

I think getting a model on the cover of a magazine would be amazing too. I’m just finishing a CF-188 Hornet that I’m very proud of and was thinking of submiting to the reader gallery here.

Good work. Maybe I missed a thread… pics of said model?
