The results are worth the effort, nice job on the complicated camouflage. You could have chose a simple scheme but didn’t, it shows a fearless attitude towards subjects of interest.
Now about the aircraft.
Is this plane still in service? What is its technical designation? Why no tail fin?
if you dont try it you wont know if you can do it or not i picked the camo beacause it looks good lol
it has got a tail i think iv put some pics with it on
the tsr 2 never entered service it was butchered by the government at the prototype stage. exceptional doesnt really say enough about the plane it really was outstanding. it wouldve probably been better than the tornado and it was designed in the mid 60s!!
it was also bloody rapid they used lightnings as chase planes (ie 1 of the fastest aircraft ever) on a test flight they lit 1 afterburner on the tsr the lightning went full beans and the tsr left it!!
what the government did was imcompetance bordering on criminal it was the beggining of the end for the british aircraft industry
it feels great as iv got loads of part finished models ships and planes lol. it isnt actually finished yet iv got to fit the wheels and give it a final coat of either satin or matt
i manedged to (accidentally) find a recon pod that sits in the bomb bay it looks good imho
here are the final pics
1 thing thats really annoyed me is the final coat of varnish has made parts of it go milky. its much worse in the photos than it is for real but its there nonetheless. the gloss coat i put on went on fine
i then put the decals on. after that i put a coat of matt varnish on and it was pretty bad iv since put a satin coat on and its better. any ideas what i did wrong???
ps the gloss satin and matt varnish are all humbrol spray cans
