1959 & 1960- Chevrolets

Hi;

We all know the Non- drivers license holder Ralph Nader cost a lot of jobs and a darned good car. Now what cars in Chevy’s lines could he really have applied that Moniker too?

The Vega comes to mind…my parents worked at Lordstown and the steel was Rusty before going into the presses.They deliberately omitted iron sleeves in the aluminum engine blocks to ensure they wore quickly.The aim was to convince GM buyers that small cars were no good.Backfired badly.
