I have a Lindberg Models 1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe in 1/32 scale and was wanting to do some sort of military build. It is, after all, in 1/32 scale … However, I am unable to find ANY evidence of them having served any military duty. I suppose I could just call it a staff car and build my own story around it.

There are some custom rods out there using military themed styling, flat O.D., sharkmouths and such.

Hey, r13b20 (and others) to be sure I’ll do what I want anyway [:D], naturally.
But, I was just checking to see if there were any known uses of one that I could model mine after. I’m sure somewhere sometime somebody grabbed a '34 Ford and slapped a white star on it and tooled around their base. They just don’t have any pics of it available publicly.
Oh well. I’ll just go freestyle on this one (fun way to model, really).

Thanks, I built one with my daughter who had gotten into modeling back then (was around 10 yrs old, she’s now nearly 21). I hadn’t built a snap together car model in ages and she and I had taken a PT Cruiser on a little test drive (I hated the thing, it was a bit of a dog).
Any way, when we built the kit, I was extremely impressed with the level of detail and fit of the model and decided to build one for myself. I just wanted to do it a little differently.
As to your staff car, I’d tell you to just go for it. Paint it gloss OD and add the stars (just not the star in circle, those were late war and mainly for air identification).
That PT Cruiser reminds me of a modified off road VW Beetle when I was kid… The owner had painted it olive drab with a US Amy star on one door and the modern German cross marking on the other to make it look like some sort of NATO project… I often regret I never got around to buying the VW buggy in the Revell’s short lived post apocalyptic series of kits because it was a perfect match
That kit was just a straight rebox of the Revell Baja Chopper/Baja Racer Valvoline VW kit.
