1933..Balbo´s SM-55X

Hi Guys…

24 SM-55X crossed the Atlantic in 1933 from Orbetello, Italy to Chicago´s World Fair. 24!!!, one crashed upon landing in Holland. Quite a feat organized and accomplished by General Italo Balbo.

Here is a solid wood scratbuilt model almost ready----it´s on hold, due to a paint accident [#oops], now under control…soon it will be in a place of honor…

Very nice, as always. One of the first of my “favorites”, actually. Does a kit of it exist, I wonder…? If not, no biggie.

But I digress. Always a joy to see one of you ‘solids’. [:D]

Delta 2 in 1/72, Mike. It is easier than the ANT-25, but not much.

Nice job as usual, Solid. Have you been hiding out in the scratchbuilding forum?

Looks great so far. Looking forward to the finished product.

Regards, Rick

There’s always the old Ringo model. I picked up one not long ago, just missing decals. I’ve built a few of these along the way.

Nice work Solid! Great to see you’re still hard at it.

Thanks everyone…[:)]------in the meantime I started a Caproni 101…workhorse of the Ethiopian Campaign
