19 inch vacu-form Hook????

The ebay add says 19 inches but I’m pretty sure that this is the old Aurora vac-u-form kit that pops up now and then.

What do you think?

19 inches, that works out to 48th scale, right?

You know, I always wondered-- if you vacu-form some kit and then sell it on e-bay, is that sitting well with the copyright people?
And then, if you assemble that model and then sell it, is that okay?
B.

Chances are that the ‘copyright’ has long since expired. I doubt that they renewed it due to them going out of business (or were they bought by Monogram? can’t recall).

Anyways, this just looks to be an older version of this current kit:

If the fuselage is indeed 19" long, then yes, it would be 1/48 scale. Killer price for only $15 bucks if you ask me, even though it is vacu-formed.

Sorry folks but the 1/48 Aurora hook is only about 13 inches long and the new MRC 1/48 Sea knight is about the same size.

Looking at that other post I’m sure that its the same kit and its just a copy of the AURORA 1/48 hook…I know I have the kit and the parts look like direct copies!
right down to the cheezy cockpit floor, bulhead, engines and rotor blades.

Except the newer kit has resin parts instead of all vac-u-form.

Frank knows for sure!
