Hi all.
Will the following Humbrol collours be a “good” representation of the RLM Tropical collours for a 109E
RLM 79= Hu118 “US tan” over RLM 78 =Hu 65 “aircraft blue” (needs to be Hu 122, but has been discontinued) with Rlm 80 =HUu 86 “light olive” mottle

As I don’t use Humbrol, I can’t comment, but you could try this site to see if there are closer colors. I have started to use Vallejo Air, and really like it,
CLOSE, counts in horse shoes, hand grenades and scale modeling![t$t]

I found the "correct " collour to be Hu 122 (as I said , it’s not made anymore) but the code for 122 is FS-35622. An the screen it looks allot like Hu-23 duckegg blue, anyone perhaps have any collourchips to confirm this as “close” as can be[;)]

Dunno about a “light olive” mottle… But without actually seeing the colors I can’t say…

Every time I look at that pic I am totally amazed at how briliantly the cammo “works”
They just had a hard time with it on over the Med LOL!
I was successful in tracking down the corret collours from model master and comparing it to life collour RLM codes.
I will be starting with a bit of pre-shading now and hopefully shot some collours on soon.The mottle I will atempt to do freehand…stay tuned[^o)]

I’ll be interested in what you decide, I have the same kit in my stash. Not real familiar with the “trop” color schemes but I use the MM brand paint numbers. I have used the Duck Egg Blue color several times now on the underside of British planes
