Wasn’t feeling too well last night. Couldn’t sleep. Pulled out the 1/72 Academy p-40E I was going to start and… started. #5 parts, Tenax drys in a flash, used a hairdryer and the sweater rack in the clothes dryer for the paint and prodded the decal into the panel lines with Micro Set and a Q-Tip. Lots of mistake, part of the canopy look like crap but all and all I’m happy.
Wow, very nice—what nationality is depicted on her?
If the folks in my 229 GB worked at 1/10,000th your speed we would have dozens of wings completed by now. Vance is trying to set a new record for slowness…
Anthony I had 2 jobs the next day an I was murder getting through the day. The drive home from the last job was tough trying to stay awake. I was out at about 5:30 that night
Manny, it from the Força Aérea Brasileira, the Brazilian are force. The decals came with a book about the P-40 for the color plates in the book in 1/32, 1/48 and 1/72.
Very cool…I know a lot of Central and South American countries received war material from the US, primarily to protect the Panama Canal and to help w/ the Atlantic Campaign…
1 night…1 airplane is much better than Vance Crozier’s, 1 year…1 airplane…
