[:p]A small dio I’ve been working on using Fujimi’s Hetzer and Kubelwagon and a Zundapp that I cant remember who made.
Very little was changed on the Hetzer just added a fuel can rack that I’d seen in photo’s drilling out the exhaust and barrell, the Kubelwagon is completely stock just the figure in it modified. I made new handle bars for the Zundapp as it came with figures the only problem was they were in winter gear and the gauntlets were cast on the handle bars (which I cant find anyway).

The base was a ready made one from a craft store to which I glued on a slab of styrofoam and then to make the elevations random I sprinkled model cement here and their to melt it down a little. This was covered in a celluclay and dirt mix and painted (should have dyed the celluclay first Oh well) then railroad bushes added and tree’s scratch built from litchen and branches from a craft store broom then sprinkled with ground up herbs (basil I think).
thats a neat little dio! Your trees looks great and excelent for scale too, yep, I really like those trees.
good job!
Nice job![:)]
Great job, especially on the figs. How do you paint them? Thanks for sharing.
The figures are painted with acrylics and then flesh areas were given a burnt sienna oil wash then highlighted somewhat to give them some definition. A few of the figures came from the Airfix ground crew set and the others are Fujimi with the officer in the Kubelwagon the only one modified.
looks good. nice job, cplchilly!
Those look awesome. Did you modify those figures or are they stock? I love small scale too.
The officer in the Kubelwagon is the only modified one with a different set of modified legs, The other figs were soft plastic and it was hard enough getting the seam lines off of those jaysun. None of the figs had really great faces so I had to wing it on the faces. The one sitting fig in the corner was actually part of three figs sitting that my buddie gave me. The middle figure made the ultimate sacrifice so that his buddie with the MP 40 could do his duty, the third figure is due to be released from the field hospital some time this week in time to make the funeral.
Great job for such a small scale!
