I’m making a Mk 5/1 (Aust) from the Airfix kit, which is the only game in town in Braille scale:
Based loosely on an article in Airfix Magazine from 1971.
Firstly, the hull sides had to be lengthened 2mm.
The turret is variably underscale, but fortunately most of it is salvageable. It is the right dimension at the mantlet, and at the rear. The flat, top plate is small, as shown.
I separated the rear and the front of the turret
and made a scale turret base
and made things fit!
I made some track thinking I’d need it with the hull lengthened
and it’s starting to look ok now:)
