1/72nd revell condor

greatmodels seems to be at the moment the only place where this new model is listed

and it is not in stock

does anyone know anyone else that lists it and in stock i checked 5 places and they don’t even list on their futures lists

It’s probably the 35 year old Revell kit re-released with “classics” box art.

the original was the fw-200 c-4

the one at great models is the fw-200 c-8

Hey Durr, it s listed as a new release on the Revell Germany Europe site but not on the Revell Germany USA site nor is it even listed on Hanants in England so my guess is that it has not hit the shelves yet. Normally Great Models and Squadron presell large kits like this so I don’t know what’s up and why they are not listed.

Doggie, this is a newly tooled kit with over 240 parts and not the old Revell kit. I for one would love to get a hold of one. (even though my stash is getting entirely out of hand)[:)]

found a great buildup of it

the only thing i notice is the radar rig needs to be p/e the plastic is overly think looking

check it out

It is about in the UK, but just a bit hard to find. A couple of members of another forum that I visit, (the Airfix Tribute Forum) managed to get hold of it before Christmas. They put up some sprue shots, which looked very exciting & they gave it an initial thumbs up.

Here is the path to the thread, which doesn’t seem to want to link it:

When I visited my LHS for one though, I drew a blank. They hadn’t even got the Gato in yet, so am guessing that they hadn’t stocked up on Revell for a while. Going to try again later this week. There are quite a few listed on ebay in the UK at the moment.

I was fortunate enough (living in Germany) to get my hands on one last month from a nearby LHS for 12 euros (about 15 dollars). Haven’t built it yet, but detailing is excellent and it obviously made with Revell of Germanys new tooling standard. The fact that its an incredible value is a bonus too. I highly recommend checking it out once it hits that side of the pond.

Nope. brand new tooling.

Yup, definitely new tooling. Judging from the build-up photos, I recognize many parts in common with their other large WWII Luftwaffe kits, like the He 177, Ju 290, and Bv 222. These include the same guns, dorsal turret seats (and I’m assuming tops also), and the overy-thick radar antenna.

I’ve built or am building each of the aforementioned kits, and I most definitely want to get my hands on a Fw 200. For $15, that’s almost as much as I’ve paid for some 1/72 FIGHTER kits! Hopefully the price doesn’t change too much. They may market it like the He 177 price, around $17 if I’m not mistaken. And for that quality and detail of parts? Most definitely.

An outstanding kit, like the previous He177, BV222 and Ju290. I buyed my Revell FW 200 Condor C8 from Hannants and it’s in my home now. Try Hannants.
