Hi,
I can’t wait to see your build. Russian/Soviet helicopters have such a fascinating look to them.

Hello!
The Mi-24 is distinctively “crooked” - you see that very well looking at if from the front and I heard the Zvezda kit is the only one showing that. They have designed it that way to lower the amount of power needed for the tail rotor for to keep it straight, leaving more power for speed!
Good luck with your build (or will there be two of them?) and have a nice day

What’s that blue thing in the little package up front?
I knew you were bluffing.
Foam padding[8-)]
Replacement chin gun and pitot tube…detail shots later.
Clearing the bench right now to do some work on these monsters!
Been a long time, but I finally got somewhere with these…

Pretty much nothing but the area where the rotor mounts will be visible. There’s a good amount of detail, that could easily be enhanced, if one was so inclined to open up some panels…I am not!
Hello!
The “guts” look really good! Nice instrument panels, too, the russian blue is a very good match, too! Thanks for sharing and good luck with your build, have a nice day

Can’t believe it’s been almost 5 months… [*-)]
Work seriously got in the way this summer! I did get little bits of time here and there. For the last couple days, I’ve been hammering away on the finish. Ready for a flat coat and their final parts…

Those are such cool looking machines.
They’re looking good. By good, I mean appropriately mean.
Awesome
Thanks dudes![t$t]
Got these suckers finished up!!!

Hi,
Thise look really nice. The Hinds are both a bit goofy looking while also being very intimidating looking too [:O]
Awesome job. Those look great! I like the way the rotors are painted.
Hello fermis!
Those babies look really good! In Poland our Mi-24s never were outfitted this good (we didn’t have those exhaust IR dampers). Could you show a photo showing one of those beauties directly head-on? I’d like to see how that twist of the fuselage looks like in scale.
Recently I have found one very funny paint scheme for a Hind on Hannants:

Starred in some Russian movie - funny, eh?
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Being an old Coastie, I like that.
Were there any fit issues?
Thanks all! [t$t]
That marking option did get some serious thought!!!
A bit off center, but you can clearly see the “tilt”, when you look at the winglets…

The tail portion fit great…everything in front of that was pretty rough.
