I need the facts on the deck color,as I have seen them any color,natural wood,dark sea blue or even black.also did this color carry up to the sails’ deck?Thanks!

As far as I have seen they were Natural wood, Steel painted the hull color or the deck and conning tower deck Dark sea grey or even black. Just depended on time line in the war .

I used Tamiya’s XF-63 German Grey for the deck, and turned out fine.

Check this out. Dougie has done a lot of research on the colors of the u boats and their different parts, particularly the wooden deck.
