1/72 U-Boat crew figures from CzechMaster are disappointing!

[:(]What a disappointment!

Squadron’s website now shows 2 more sets of 1/72 U-Boat crew figures (in addition to the CZF 72116 set with an officer, crewman in a sou’wester, and another crewman). Unfortunately[tdn] the set CZF 72117 at $8.97 is only 3 crewmen stacking provisions on deck along with some boxes, cans and other supplies. Set CZF 72118 at $6.47 consists of 3 more crew sitting at-rest on-deck (much like “tank-riders” for you armor fans) reading letters and such.[xx(]

[soapbox]Good Grief! For that much $$$ I–for one–want crew figures for manning the deck and/or machine guns, ascending from the hatch, on watch, or at least looking busy and underway.[V] These 2 sets just put me to [zzz]. Hopefully, some company will get the right idea.[sigh]

“Should we prosper it shall be as is our custom…by Miracle!”

Thanks for the heads up. I didn’t say anything about the first set
but always thought they didn’t look all that good together.
They should have at least made them so you could use them
together.

BTW, if you are looking for an alternative there is a
Preiser - Kit# 72520 - 1/72 - Pilots/Ground Crew
Federal German Air Force/Nato set that I got that
look just fine to me.

There are 36 figures. in several poses. Some in
overalls, some standing, stooped over, kneeling, some
have life vests on, etc…

Even some with their hands in the air.

Which is great for me as I want to have the U-Boot surrendering
to the Flower Class Corvette HMS Oakville.

The set was $13.50 US.

Those are disappointing. I agree with Azrog; I’d want those guys at their stations for a battle surface!
