1/72 seat belts

I am building a 1/72 scale P-38 and want to make some seat belts. What is the best material to use and what measurements should I use?

Masking tape or low-adhesive sports tape works great—the latter actually has the “ridged " weave that simulates the webbing texture—with bits of styrene or wire for buckles and such. Can’t help much with measurements, I usually just find a photo that looks good and try to make it look about the same. In 1/72, almost certainly no more than 1/16” or so for the wider lap belts, about 1 mm for the harnesses.
