I have one. It is a rebox of the Italeri kit and it is of typical Italeri quality (interpret that any way you want). ;^)

Thanks rocketranger, I will relay that info to him. Are there any big issues that you can see?
Chris
The instructions for this kit are available at Revell Germany’s website. If you want to check them out here is a link to the PDF. http://www.revell.de/manual/04469.PDF
I’ve only started on the cockpit but it looks like it’s a typical Italeri build. No major problems that I can see. The model does seem like it was based on a something before the final “pre-production” machines but I don’t know that for sure.

Hi, Rocket - I was the Army test engineer for Comanche from 1989 until program cancellation. The configuration question came up a while ago in here. If you search this forum using “Comanche” you’ll find my post on the different configrurations. If you have questions or need some pictures for the configuration you plan to build, e-mail me.

Hi Dan,
I have a site dedicated to test aircraft at: http://www.thenorthspin.com
I don’t know what your limitations are as far as releasing photos to the public, but let me know if you ever feel like contributing material for the site… I’m always looking for that kind of stuff. My email is: northspin@aol.com

Hey All here are the pics of my friends commanche.
I need comments this is his first true build!!![;)]
It looks good to me! Did he airbrush it?
Actually he hasn’t painted it yet. This is before painting and decals.
You can tell him that the seats in the prototypes weren’t green - they were black.

I admire your friend’s courage for allowing photos of that model to be taken and posted!
Here’s mine:
Very nice! As you note, it’s a prototype configuration from the period you built it, and there are differences in the production configuration. That said, I really like the Israeli color scheme. My congratulations on a fine job.
I’ve got all my photos of the prototypes stored away, along with a 1/48 Italeri kit to work with. One day I’ll sit down and build my Comanche, and I only hope it’s half as well finished as yours.
