Here is my finished 1/72 Czechoslovakian MPM Fw 189A-1, I built for the Reich Defenders V: Hunters of the Dark Group Build. The kit comes with some Photo Etch parts as well as separate parts for the upwards firing gun and flame arresting mufflers. The kit went together very well with the exception of one complaint. The greenhouse didn’t fit as well as I would have liked and required some unique filling with acrylic gel. The camo scheme was a little challenging and is as detailed as I can get with my present Harbor Freight Chicago Pneumatic Airbrush (I will be up grading to a Badger 105 on my birthday). Really nice job on this . As I mentioned in another post the Harbor Freight airbrush offers a lot bang for the buck. Your great camo. paint job is a testament to that.

I started airbrushing usuing the same harbor freight one, until I found a 40% off coupon for Michael’s craft store. i rushed out and bought the Badger 105. It was the last one they had. i hope you like yours as much as I like mine, it does a great job and it’s soooo easy to clean being a gravity model.
Awesome build Steve! I also have a Badger 105 that my fiance got me for my birthday with a 50% coupon from Michaels. It’s an awesome airbrush. How did you achieve the mottling paint job?

I painted the mottling using around 5 psi and about 50/50 paint thinner mix. I also had to hand paint some areas to remove any overspray. It took a couple of hours with the optivisor, but it was fun. I really want to get good enough to paint this como scheme in 1/72 I’ve seen on several Luftwaffe aircraft, I’ll keep trying.
