1/72 maus, jagdtiger, sturmtiger and chally2.. all dragon

hi all, it took me a while but i’ve completed my next set of builds. all the kit’s are 1/72 dragon kits.

i had some minor isseus with the sturmtiger with putting the plastic parts on the iron hull but fixed it with 1 second super gleu and tamiya putty for filling the gaps. the other kit’s where perfect fits.

these kits where also my first ones with hard edged camo and i did it with workable gum, i think artists use it with charcoal painting but it’s almost the same as silly putty but easyer to get around here and much cheaper. i think it worked out great.

also a first for me is that the decals went on pretty good, only the chally 2 had some silvering. i know i didn’t do much weathering, but these models are ment to go on the evolution display i have and i want to see all the detail and differenses, so no dirty ones there.

of course feedback is welcome and much appreciated.

Nice job all around.Ya might want to touch up that fig in the last pic.It looks kinda rough.[:)]

I’m a big fan of 1/72, Robbio, and I have to compliment you on all these beautiful builds. The camo painting is exceptionally well-done; that stuff you used sure did it’s job very effectively!

The only thing I hope you’ll do is to paint those spare tracks on the Jagdtiger sides! Right now they’re just the bare plastic but I’m hoping that’s just an oversight in your part…?

All in all though, very well done. A nice collection! [:)]

Nice models, all!

I particularly like the Maus and have been eyeing that one off at the LHS for a while now.

cheers

Mike

well… the spare’s are painted silver, but i’ll make em a bit dusty/rusty for the effect…

everybody, thanks for the comments

Robbioo, those are really nice builds…I especially like the Chally. Great work!

I was a DIEHARD 1/35 armor builder until just last week. I was out of town and had the itch to build something, but I wanted something really quick and simple. So I stepped outside my box and picked up DML’s 1/72 Panther w/zim and was totally impressed with the quality and ease of building (compared to 1/35)…so much so that I went back out and picked up 3 more 1/72 DML kits! I hope to have them all done by the end of the week! WOW!

Again, great work and thanks for the post and photos!
