1/72 invastion stripes?

Hello,
Does anyone know how to make invastion stripes for a 1/72 aircraft? I have a p-47 that i would like to do them on. FS just had the article about them but i didn’t see any referance to 1/72. Maybe i just missed it.

Yeah the article mentions how big the stripes were (18" for single engine planes) so if you take the measurements, the stripes would be 1/4" in width. Take a look at photos to help judge where they would be placed. In the same issue of FSM, they had an article on Gabreski’s P-47 and that would be a good place to start. I can scan the photos if you need me to.
