1/72 Hasegawa EA-6B (Finished)

Thanks double D!!!

Can’t say that it’s been pure joy with this one…but, that’s all part of the fun, right!!!

One last fix…

The kit had the big bump antenna, where there should be a blade antenna. Carved off the bump…leaving a gaping hole. I cut a piece of styrene sheet and glued on a “handle”. Put some CA on the piece of sheet…(hehehe “piece of sheet”!!!)…finagled it into the hole (hehehe…I’m full of em!!!)…used the “handle” to pull the sheet back against the inside of the fuse. Some more sheet on top of that, to bring the “plug” closer to the fuselage surface…putty for the rest.

Blade antenna cut from sheet styrene.

Painted…

Finish pics shortly!

…and…finally!!!

The support rods for the wings are brass rod…use Tamiya “clear Amber” on the inside of the canopy for the “gold tint”.

Got just a little ahead of myself…just a couple spots to dab on a little dullcoat to knock out some CA shine.

You’ve done an amazing build, I just love it!

Toshi

She looks ready to climb in and fly, Fermis. Great job!

Fermis - lookin’ good! I’ve built a Matchbox model of the Prowler while I was in the primary school (dang, like it was yesterday!), and I like the lines of the EA-6B ever since! Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Paweł

That turned out awesome

Love it! So much realistic looking detail! Great job.

I must learn to paint, weather, use washes, etc., etc. The look achieved with competent skills and a good eye is really extremely attractive. Maybe someday…

Mike

That is just awesome !!

Awesome build! Sure doesn’t look like 1/72![Y]

Outstanding piece of work Fermis, very impressive.

Nice work fermis. [:)]

Stunning…thanks for sharing…

Very nice indeedy! Your build has me excited about building one of the two I have in my stash, later this year…I’ll take reference from yours, because I’ve only built one jet in the two years I’ve been modeling. Everything else has been WWI and WWII planes. [:)][Y][Y]
