1/72 Halifax III Detailing

Well, as many of you might guess, the Airfix cockpit for the 1/72 Halifax III bomber kit is essentially barren. I was wondering if anyone might have some pics of the interior so I can detail this beast. Or even better, be able to point me to some AM parts that might do the job?

On a related note, has anyone taken a look at the FM 1/48 Halifax? I think it’s finally come out, and I was thinking of investing in it, but I’ve heard there are massive fit problems with FM kits. Any advice?

Bombers of World War II Volume 1 by Squadron publications is an excellent book giving awsome 1/72 detail drawings of the Halifax including the cockpit , wheel wells , engines and turrets. I saw a copy on ebay you should look into it.
