1/72 Fujimi F-14D Kits

In the February issue of FSM, there is an article about F-14 kits.
Under 1/72, the author talks about two Fujimi F-14D kits and that one is more accurate than the other but he doesn’t list the kit numbers.
Does anyone have an idea which kit is the better of the two? I am purchasing one through Internet Hobbies and they have two listed. One, #28007 includes photo-etched parts and the other, #35116 does not. The article mentions that the least accurate of the two does have photo-etched parts but considering the cost involved, I’m trying to be sure. As the article states "…be careful which version you purchase.

Any advice will be greatfully appreciated.

Boy, I had hoped somebody would answer this one. I have a similar question about how to tell the difference between the Hagewasa old and new molds.

Anyone?

I have built two Fujimi F-14 kits and both seemed very accurate and both had photo etched parts. I can’t say for sure, but I believe those kits with the metal parts are the newer ones.

Hello,
Avoid the confusion and buy the Revell kit, PLUS you get a neet book on Navy fighters! Now I have to find Part 1, The book in the kit is Part 2! The kit is building well and I’m using the notes in the FSM art. on 14s!
