Hi, I recently picked up a 1/72 Italeri B-26K for a good price on Ebay. I want to correct some of the flaws in the kit. So to that end, I ordered the CMK undercarriage set from Sprue Brothers since it includes the correct wheels and also has details for the empty gear wells. I was also interested in the CMK cockpit set, but I see that both Sprue Brothers and Squadron are sold out of it.
That got me thinking ā do I really need this set at all? I know that K model Invader had dual cockpit controls and no jump seat. So I was thinking I could make these changes from scratch but then I saw the Eduard cockpit detail sets at Squadron and I was wondering if anyone here has them and what they think about them. I see one if $7 and one is $23. Do they both include a larger instrument panel and control columns? Pros and cons of each?
And finally, what about better detailed engines? The CMK engines seemed to be too detailed to me and also a lot of work to put them together! Does Quick Boost make the proper B-26K engines?
Thanks for your input, Iām always curious to hear what you guys think.
