From 2022, great kit from Arma Hobby.
This does look good @Grant_Dalzell . Kits have come a LONG way since the old Monogram days when I built my Wildcat. Nicely detailed and painted up. Looks like a fresh bird.
@Grant_Dalzell Your Wildcat looks fantastic. I typically shy away from 72nd scale WWII fighters, as I feel like the panel lines tend to be out of scale, but I don’t see that with your Wildcat. I’ve been thinking about adding a 72nd scale Hellcat to my stash recently (considering the Eduard kit), but I might just give this Wildcat a shot also.
It’s a cracking little kit, you won’t be disappointed ![]()
Great looking build Grant.
I was debating picking one of these up but I already have two of the new Airfix Wildcat kits.
Plus the subject I’m doing flew the F4F not the FM2, but it looks like a great kit.
I’ll be building mine in the markings of Jefferson DeBlanc a Louisiana Guadalcanal MOH recipient who lived about 60 miles from me. I once heard him speak at an American Legion District meeting.
Interesting guy, said he knew the real value of his life - a sack of rice that was traded to the natives who rescued him.

Adrian
Fantastic job on your Wildcat! Everyone on YouTube raves about how great these Arma kits are so I’m going to have to get one soon. .
Fantastic work. I have this kit staring at me from the shelf while I am typing. It just got promoted to the ‘to be built immediately’ list, thanks to you ![]()
Thanks for that guys, their Hurricane in 1/72 scale is a very nice kit as well.
Grant, great looking 'cat! I have one of these kits in my stash, looking forward to starting it some day. How bad was the landing gear build? I’ve heard it’s a bit tricky, but I also think that’s the kit where I have some PE to add there, so I might be conflating the two…
Another killer build! Really like the paint job and weathering. Thanks for posting
I don’t recall any issues with the gear.
