i started by making the camo pattern on my computer using mspaint , i then sent it to a friend to print on fabric , then off to another friend to make patterns and sew the parts , this is incomplete , were still making the jacket assualt pack , and ammo pouches for the AK47 , but i thought id share some pics , its a little different kind of modeling , but it sure came out cool !!!
An unusual subject to be sure. Is the figure one of the Dragon releases?

its a dragon figure but with custom pants , gasmask bag and helmet cover , but it’s not a dragon relese , no one has made this figure before .
Really interesting. I think it’s amazing the kind of detail that’s possible in this scale.
I saw a “discussion” in the letters colum of a modeling magazine in which the participants were arguing the merits of these new large scale figures/dolls. (I don’t know what to call them) Some of the participants were adament that these were not figures at all, and shouldn’t be included in the pages of a Military Modeling (oops, gave it away) magazine. Others were quite vocal in their support of this new development in the hobbly, citing the conversion possibilities, among other enjoyable aspects of collecting these figures.
What do you guys think? Is it a model, or a doll?[?] Whatever it is, I think it’s looks pretty cool, and nice job on the cammo!
im of the camp ,WHO CARES , if you enjoying customizing them ,have fun , i stopped listning to the model elitists who frown on the men playing with dollies , who cares .
ive built plastic models since i was 5 years old , ive won contests and been able to very sell all of them at a very tidy sum , this 1/6 hobby was a new step for me , that has brought new challanges and a whole new level of fun and frustration to my life , its a great hobby , so be it [:D][:D][:D]
I hear you on that. If you enjoy it, and find yourself stretching your skills, (and even if you don’t but still get satisfaction from producing a pleasing figure) then I say, cool. Maybe some of the contest organizers should introduce a new category to accomodate folks that like to customize these figures. That would be very interesting to see, and would add a whole new dimension to the show and contests. [:)]
