1/48th scale pilot figures?

I’m converting a revell f-14 (finished) from a “parked position” to a flying stance. thus, i need an extra pilot figure (since revell only puts them out with one pilot)

I checked out the sqadron website, and only came up with one result when i searched for us navy pilots.
http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=CZF48084

It is the right scale, but anyone know any information on this item?. I just dont’ want to buy a pilot standing straight up when i need him to be sitting down. [:D] Thanks in advance.

Hasagawa do a 1/48 scale US Navy figures set including seated pilots, ground crew etc. The figures are not the best you’ll ever see but for the price it’s well worth considering. I’ve used them a few times and if you take your time, you can get good results from them.

Hope this helps you out.

Regards,

Darren.

thank you much.

Stangfanatic,

Somewhere I have alotta modern seated crew figures out of misc kits. I’ll look and see what I have.

Fade to Black…

Reheat does some excellant modern navy pilots in 1/48 try them or go to www.quarterkit.com he has loads of 1/48 figures from WW1 to modern from various mfg’s.

well, i totally scrapped the plane. (wasn’t too great to begin with) and i managed to drop it, so, i got myself a bunch of spare parts… btw… where do you keep your finished models? i have to invest in a few shelves or something that’ll do the trick.

Right now all my built-ups are boxed. It’s been a war zone here for the last half a year now and the dust is sumthin’ terrible…

I’m going to build my own display case, but if you can find a decent one for cheap, that’s a good option. Especially if you can make it somewhat dust-proof.

A buddy of mine uses what you mentioned, some plain 'ole shelves, and they do the trick nicely.

Whatever you can afford basically, that’s why my case is a long way off at the moment. My grandiose carpentry plans would result in an equally grandiose financing plan! [:p]
