1/48th Aircrafts seats

Im looking for a good source for some 1/48th scale aircraft seats/parts. I have an early production Pro Modeler P40 and the stock seat is a joke…especially the straps and belts! Im not up to making one but not sure where to look for one either…many thanks!

I have to say- having just used the Eduard P-51 interior- that it is quality stuff…have you looked inot them for your P-40?? It is my first run-in with resin, but I find the detail and quality to be excellent.

Thanks Mike! No I havent looked into Eduard or used their stuff before…I will be sure to check it out!

A buddy of mine had gotten a resin casting kit and never used it. I tried it out and made some 1/48 seats using a P-51A seat from Acurate Minatures and a generic bucket type seat similar to the P-51D’s. They turned out surpisingly well. One of our Club members does a lot of resin casting for his car parts he scratchbuilds.

the guy from Ultracast makes some of the BEST resin stuff ever! AND easy to work with. he makes seats for the p-40- ( b thru m variant ) #48036. you’ll get a pair for 8 bucks american. very nice stuff. Eduard is a GREAT source for photo-etch details but i’m not sure they still produce early p-40 sets. check both websites. they are colorful and easy to navigate.

Squadron markets the True Detail line of resin accessories which are good value. Pretty sure they did a P-40 interior set. Also check out Aires, Cutting Edge and Black Box Resin sets.
