Here is my 1/48 Tunisia Tiger I. I used the aber engine screens and metal barrel. I also have the Lionroar resin tracks for it. Here is before the highlighting and decals.
Here is after I highlighted some raised portions, then used clear yellow and clear to seal it, then I applied the decals and sealed it again in clear. (All paints Tamiya thinned with lacquer thinner)
Let me know what you think. Next up is painting the road wheels and weathering.
Looks veeeeery nice! Is this a Tamiya kit? These 48th scale armour kits are quite detailed. Makes me want to trade in all my 35th scale and do 48th. Would be much easier to find storage space! But i don’t seem to see any 48th scale Aussie Armour stuff out there yet so it looks like 35th for a while yet…
Great job so far. Will look great with some panels accented and some weathering.
Thanks everyone. I will check out the mg mount and see. On the cupola hatch support, not exactly which part you are talking about, but I just followed the instructions and did not realize it. I think it will do more harm to try and change it now, but I will definitely make sure to do it right the next time.
The 1/48s are very fun kits. I have done a few and have a few more in stash. They are nice diversions from the complicated 1/35 kits, and nicely detailed also.
Looks like this one’s moving along nicely. [Y]. Only suggestion I can make is to try to drill out the muzzle on the hull MG, in the last pic it looks like it’s molded solid?
