hey everyone. heres the spitfire featured in another thread that I used Glad press’n seal to mask the camo. the round in the picture is fitting for this marque of spitfire as it is 1942 production .303 British. probably cordite inside…

Very nice looking Spit my friend… Loved the early colours on them especially during the BoB… I have a few .303 laying that are well still live… And one is on my key chain that was once attached to my Uncle Jims dog tags while he was in New Guinea…

Nicely done. I really like the look of the Mk.I.
The only thing I see that could be fixed is, in this picture it looks like you have some green on the landing gear. Other than that I don’t see anything wrong.
Press and Seal? How does that work? You cut it to shape first? Isn’t the stuff difficult to cut - not that it’s stiff, but rather it sticks to itself? I’m thinking its like cling wrap, or am I completely off base here?
first off I started a thread in another section of the forum especially about this stuff. i think it gives a pretty good run-down on what its all about. the execution of the idea is really easy and as you can tell from the finished product, the results are good!

on the bottom, I’ve painted the bottom of the spit tamiya sky, not sure the numerical designation right now.
I do have a few minor things to add, such as the radio mast and such, I think I will also add a flat coat as well, as of right now, its still sporting its pre-decaling gloss coat.
