Years ago some company made 1/48 scale jeeps. Considering all the diarama work for 1/48 scale aircraft it seems as though some company could produce some of the jeeps, deuce-and-a-halves, fuel trucks, etc. that were found on every airfield. They’d even look great on shelves full of aircraft displays without the full diaramas.
Thoughts?
Agree, the Bandai 1/48 scale jeep was a gem. They still show up on ebay every now and again. I know if a company would re-issue the Bandai 1/48 scale models I would grab some!
Not sure if the company is still in business, but Arii made several armor kits in 1/48. The patriot missile system is one kit that comes to mind. Seems as if the prime mover for that system was pretty inaccurate, but the missile launcer system was a little better. Come to think of it, I saw a few of their kits in the hobby shop I was in this afternoon; trouble is, I wasn’t paying attention to them, so I can’t say what was on the shelf.

Check model RR sources 1/48 is O gauge to them.
Airfield Accessories in the UK did produce a number of such vehicles. I think they are out of business now (can anyone confirm?? Ian Sadler maybe?) but their stuff must have been passed on to someone else…
