I am considering building the AC-47 and would like to use the Eduard P.E. interior and flap set for the Trumpeter C-47A. Would there be any problems to adapt to the Monogram kit? I have aftermarket guns and mounts and flare boxes by Cutting Edge and Yellowhammer. I also have engines, metal landing gear and aftermarket wheels. I’ve been doing research on the AC-47 and would really like to start on this project, and could use some info on the fit of the P.E. sets.-----HELP
Believe it or not the Monogram C-47A Eduard set will work because the AC-47 kit is the C-47A kit with a few new parts.
I knew the old Monogram C-47A and the AC-47 was the same old kit except for the upgrade parts, but my question is-- will the Eduard P.E. sets for the Trumpeter C-47A adapt to the Monogram kit? .I don’t want to buy the Trumpeter C-47 and kit bash both kits.I would rather adapt the P.E.parts instead. I thank you for responding
You may have to modify the kit or PE set slightly, but it should work. I put a PE/resin set designed for a Hasegawa Stuka into the Revell version. Had to scrath build, and/or modify a copule of parts for it to work but once painted, no one can tell.
Thanks so much thats what I needed to hear. Now I can get those parts. Thanks again
i’ve got a feeling that eduard did a set specifically for the old monogram kit,but don’t take my word for it…
Skater-x–Thanks for the info I just got time to check the forum. I checked Eduards site and I could only find the Trumpeters sets. It’s possible that they had a set that was just for the Monograms C-47A,but I don’t know if it was done awhile back and I just missed it. I’ve ordered the Big Ed’s set and will do some modifying if I have to. Thanks again for the info tho.
