Iam having a little problem with the assembly of the tracks.
Do you put the tracks together then paint before putting on the model?
And what type of glue do you use to keep the tracks together while you
try to fit the tracks around the wheels without them coming apart?
I use the Testors liquid glue that comes in the funny shaped bottle. There have been times that I used the tubed version, but it generally makes a mess.
As for painting, I cut mine off the tree and clean, taping them to the back of cardboard and painting them there. I take them off and then do the highlights. I just haven’t figured out how to paint them after assembly. Actually, there is a tutorial from the Doog about his method for painting and assembling indy tracks. It looked pretty easy and I might give it a try on my next kit. Try a search and see if it pops up.
Thank you for the reply. Now that I have glued the tracks together
what would be a good solution to take the tracks apart and clean
them prior to painting?
Oy! I don’t have an answer there. How long ago did you glue them? i found the thread that I mentioned.
