1/48 Parts?

Hey all, I’m new to this forum, and the hobby as well. I am currently working on a 1/48 Italeri F-5e Tiger II, which I plan on doing up in the MiG-28 scheme found in “Top Gun”. I was wondering where I might find some 1/48 parts, namely instrument panel, pilot, and possibly seat as well. Thanks in advance!

What you need is Photo Etch detail set, they are small metal parts cut to resemble cockpit interior detail and aircraft exterior detail, OR you can try a Resin detail sets which are plastic resin molded to detail of aircraft interiors/exterior parts. Most online hobby retailers carry them. You can try spruebros.com, squadron.com, greatmodels.com.

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry if this is asking too much, I don’t want to seem as though I haven’t put any effort into searching, I have spent a couple hours online looking, and haven’t come up with much, only a resin cockpit, and nothing thus far in the way of instruments. I was wondering if anyone has done a similar 1/48 F5E, and if they could recommend anything. Thanks again!

I’ve looked over the kit in reviews and the Italeri 1/48 F-5E is actually an older reboxed ESCI kit and this may be the reason your not going to much in aftermarket parts for it, However if you get a hold of the Monogram 1/48 F-5E it does have the molded detailed cockpit and pretty good raised panel line exterior detail that you can rescribe. The only thing I would add is a resin ejection seat and maybe scratch build some small details yourself. You can try looking on Ebay and see what is there, but the Monogram kit is far better than the Italeri/ESCI kit.
