Well, I have this strange fetish for two-seat aircraft and ever since I saw one of these I’ve wanted one on the shelf…in 1/48. So, I’m going to convert a Monogram P-47D into the TP-47G discussed in the Research forum. All pointers welcome but I’m sure I’ll have some accuracy issues that I’m not real concerned about this time. Besides, I wanted to try it on a cheap kit before maybe doing it to a nice kit.
So, first I combined two cockpits and used them inside to determine where my cuts needed to be. I tried to get as close to the pics as possible. I think I got pretty close. I taped the fuselage halves together, masked them off and first cut the wind-screen portion first. Cleaned it up and used it to determine were the next cut would be. Did it, cleaned it all up and assembled. I should have took more pics, sorry. Chris
